Potty Training
August 2nd, 2022
When I think about the progression of our daugher's life, I think milestones:
Sleeping Through the night- check!
Crawling- check!
Walking- Check!
Talking- Check!
When our daugher turned two, we knew it was time to introduce the potty to her. It started off great! She has always been interested in going potty with my wife and I. One of her favorite books is a potty book as well, so she has had some intrigue already. She had fun at first sitting on the potty, and flushing when it was "time to get off." One day magically- she peed on the potty, and it seemed like we were making great progress! Then a complete halt, and she was no longer interested.
When we changed our daughter's daycare, the staff wanted to take on potty training Edie (our daughter). She was showing great progress in her communication with them, and they wanted to start moving her in the potty training direction. Of course we obliged and loved the idea. Once again, things seemed to be going really well. In fact- she went potty (#1 and #2) 5 days in a row! Then, once again, an absolute stop in going potty. Now she doesn't even want to look in the potty's direction, and she gets agitated when we ask.
I am looking forward now to looking into some products and sites to get our daughter moving in the right direction- towards the toilet!
One site I came across is 123pottytrainme.com. I look forward to checking out their tips, resources, and charts! They seem like a highly referred and promoted company, and one of the top searches on google. Check out their products here.
